V&A Museum
Client: Parametric Walls
The V&A in South Kensington, London is renowned for its world-leading collection of fashion and art. Beyond the exhibitions, the museum continues to explore innovative ways to engage visitors through architecture and design. A recent project brought this ambition to life with a series of interactive, parametric donation points, seamlessly blending function with creativity.
At the heart of the installation, Applelec Projects was commissioned to design and manufacture a bespoke lighting system that would elevate the visual impact of Parametric Walls’ sculptural forms. Drawing on our decades of experience in architectural backlighting and signage fabrication, we engineered a custom solution that delivered consistent illumination, integrated discreetly into the structure, and met the demanding requirements of a high-profile public space.

Our team worked closely with Parametric Walls to translate the concept into reality, ensuring that the lighting enhanced the design intent without overpowering the museum’s historic architecture. The result was a functional yet artistic feature that invited interaction while harmonising with its surroundings.
