Auragami
Auragami is a flexible, cut and connect LED lighting system developed to deliver consistent, uniform illumination across complex shapes and surfaces. Designed to adapt to curves, contours and irregular forms, it opens up greater creative and technical freedom where traditional lighting solutions are limited. Engineered for reliable performance and ease of installation, Auragami provides even light distribution without visible spotting and can be specified as a standalone solution or as part of a fully engineered Applelec Projects system.
Key features
Flexible illumination
Designed to adapt to curves, angles and irregular surfaces, Auragami enables lighting to be applied where rigid systems cannot, without compromising uniformity.
Consistent light output
Engineered to deliver even illumination across the surface, reducing the risk of hotspots and ensuring a clean, professional finish.
Faster installation
Cut-and-connect design allows for efficient installation and on-site adaptability, reducing labour time and simplifying complex layouts.
Engineered for integration
Auragami can be incorporated into bespoke Applelec Projects systems, combining lighting performance with fabricated elements for a fully resolved solution.

Fix it
Auragami light panels from Applelec are engineered for efficient installation, with adhesive 3M backing enabling secure fixing to any dry, clean and level surface. Where projects require larger illuminated areas or more complex layouts, quick wire connectors allow multiple panels to be linked seamlessly, helping to scale the lighting scheme while maintaining consistency across the full application.
Using tightly pitched, high output LEDs, Auragami delivers bright, even backlighting behind dense surface materials up to 20mm thick, with a minimal clearance requirement of just 9.5mm. This makes it a practical solution for projects where depth is limited but a uniform, high quality illuminated finish remains essential.
Shape it
Auragami can be shaped over a 90° angle while maintaining even, consistent illumination. This gives greater design flexibility where lighting needs to follow corners, edges and formed surfaces without compromising the finished result.
Wrap it
Auragami can be wrapped around columns, pillars and curved surfaces to create seamless illumination across more complex forms. Its flexible construction and consistent light output help deliver a clean, high quality backlighting finish.

Cut it
Auragami can be cut on site to suit individual project requirements, giving installers greater flexibility when working around fixings, obstacles or late-stage design adjustments. This helps achieve a cleaner finished result while reducing installation complexity on more detailed applications.
Its power distribution grid is engineered so the LEDs continue to function even when panels are trimmed to fit, allowing offcuts to be reused elsewhere within the scheme where suitable. This maximises usable material, reduces unnecessary waste and supports a more efficient installation process.
Plus so much more...
Optimized Power Efficiency
Auragami is designed to deliver efficient performance while helping to simplify power planning across the scheme. Meeting Class 2 requirements, it allows multiple sheets to be powered from a single 24VDC 96W supply, supporting a more streamlined approach and helping to avoid unnecessary cost increases elsewhere in the system.
Durable and Weather-Resistant
With an IP65 rating for wet locations, Auragami is suitable for both interior and exterior applications where durability is essential. This gives specifiers greater confidence when developing schemes that require long term performance in more demanding environments.
Versatile Colour Options
Auragami offers a broad range of colour options to support different design intents, including five white tones, tuneable white from 2700K to 6500K, RGB with 5300K, and custom colours on request. With output up to 95+ CRI, it provides the flexibility to achieve the right visual effect while maintaining strong colour quality.
High Output, Low Energy
Delivering over 800 lumens per square foot, Auragami combines strong light output with energy efficient performance. Designed to operate without heatsinks and with a lifetime of more than 50,000 hours, it supports reliable illumination across a wide range of applications.
Quick, Reliable Installation
Each light sheet is supplied with 3M adhesive backing and pre-marked fixing holes to support secure, straightforward installation. This helps reduce installation time while improving consistency on site.
Customizable Solutions
Auragami can also be tailored to suit project specific requirements, with custom options available for colour, brightness, size and efficiency, subject to minimum order quantities. This allows greater flexibility where standard formats do not fully meet the design brief.

‘Auragami from Applelec enabled us to design with heavy stone and light. The flexibility of the panel meant light could literally be bent around corners, producing seamless illumination without any shadowing. The additional benefit of Auragami featuring an adhesive backing along with a cuttable facility enabled us to tailor the panel and simply fix the solution in place, providing an accurate application and a quick, safe install.’
