LumiStone
LumiStone is an illuminated printed stone system designed to deliver fully integrated feature surfaces across hospitality, workplace and commercial interiors.
More than a decorative finish, it combines material, structure and lighting into one coordinated solution. Rather than specifying a surface and resolving lighting separately, LumiStone is designed, engineered and manufactured as a complete backlit system, reducing coordination between trades and ensuring the final installation performs as intended.
Key features
Designed with light from the start
Lighting is fully integrated into the system, ensuring consistent performance and a refined visual outcome.
Consistent illumination, no hotspots
Engineered backlighting delivers uniform light distribution across the surface, enhancing depth, translucency and visual impact.
Freedom beyond natural stone limitations
Achieve the aesthetic of marble and onyx without restrictions on slab size, matching or consistency, with the ability to scale, repeat or customise designs.
Delivered as a complete fabricated system
Surface, light engine and supporting structure are developed together, simplifying specification, manufacture and installation.

Designed for feature applications
LumiStone is engineered for use within feature installations where visual impact and performance are equally important. It is suited to a wide range of applications including bar fronts, reception desks, feature walls and architectural elements across hospitality, workplace and residential environments.
The system supports:
-
Even illumination across large surfaces
-
High visual consistency and repeatability
-
Scalable designs for larger installations
-
Reliable performance within integrated lighting schemes
Lighting performance you can rely on
Every LumiStone system is powered by integrated Applelec Light Engines, developed specifically to deliver even, diffused illumination across the entire surface.
This ensures:
-
No visible hotspots or inconsistencies
-
Enhanced depth and translucency through the design
-
A controlled and predictable lighting outcome
-
Consistent results from design intent through to installation
For applications requiring slimline solutions, compatible LED systems can be selected to suit project requirements while maintaining performance.

A flexible system for scalable design
LumiStone offers a high level of design flexibility, allowing surfaces to be tailored to suit both concept and space.
Available as a curated range of stone inspired designs, panels can be scaled, mirrored or repeated to create cohesive feature installations across larger areas. Bespoke pattern development is also available, enabling full customisation of design, layout and illumination.
This allows designers to achieve a consistent aesthetic across a project without the limitations typically associated with natural materials.
A fully integrated fabricated solution
LumiStone is not supplied as a material alone, it is delivered as a fully engineered illuminated system.
The printed surface, light engine and supporting structure are designed and manufactured together, ensuring compatibility and performance across all elements. The face material is manufactured from Class 1 fire rated polycarbonate, providing an added level of reassurance for specification within commercial interior environments.
By resolving material, lighting and structure as one system, LumiStone reduces coordination risk, simplifies installation and provides a more predictable project outcome.

The LumiStone Core Collection
The LumiStone collection features a curated range of stone-inspired designs, developed to bring illuminated surfaces to life. Each pattern is designed to enhance depth, movement and translucency when backlit, allowing light to interact with the printed surface to create striking visual effects.
Collections include:
-
Core Collection – contemporary stone-inspired designs
-
Vein Collection – enhanced texture and depth
-
Bespoke – fully custom patterns and layouts
Panels can be specified individually or combined to create large-scale illuminated features. Patterns are shown unlit for colour reference.
